THE Sixth Form College at Ormskirk School is inviting the community to share in the excitement of A-level results day by partnering with popular local radio station Wish FM.

Reporters will be on hand to capture the emotions of the day and share in the success of students as they receive their results, broadcasting short news items on Thursday, August 17.

Head of sixth form Lisa Hayes said: “Our students have worked really hard over the last couple of years and we want to celebrate their success.

“It’s always an emotional day and we are delighted that so many students will move on to the university or apprenticeship of their choice having taken full advantage of the opportunities and support we provide at the college.”

Last year the college had a significant increase in the number of A-level students achieving the top A and A* grades.
