Girls add colour in dark time for the Men-aces

-

IT was a rocky week for the Skem Men-aces, with so many ups and downs and the sad news of losing one of their players, Ken Chadwick, to cancer.

They sung their rendition of the song ‘Can’t You See The Smile On Our Faces’ as he passed away – a humble tribute to a magnificent man.

The whole squad was subdued whilst training, when all of a sudden they were engulfed by another sea of red, in the form of the Dynamo Rangers Girls football team.

They had come down to their training session with a wonderful gift and a magnificent surprise. All the girls took part in the Liverpool Colour Run and gained sponsors, and also raised £1,000 for the team.

The girls totally blew the Men-aces away with their generous contribution.

Co-manager Mim Eaton said: “We are a big mouth to feed, this donation is a wonderful gesture, and we can’t thank Dynamo enough – these are only young girls that are doing their bit for their community. Well done to you all.”
