I bet tat’ll get me into nightclub free for life
AN EDGE HILL university student got a tattoo of an entry stamp to a popular Ormskirk nightclub.
The student got the £35 tattoo on her wrist after reportedly losing a bet.
She asked for a black tree in a circle with the word “Alpine” – the name of a popular student venue.
The tattoo artist who did the work said that she initially thought the booking was a joke.
Abigail France, who works at Studio Odyssey in Ormskirk, said she did not expect the customer to actually come to her appointment.
But the student did turn up on Friday and said she wanted to go ahead, despite staff initially trying to talk her out of it.
Ms France said: “She came in on Tuesday very hungover, so we couldn’t do it then with alcohol in her system.
“She was after the Alpine stamp on her wrist.
“Apparently she had lost a bet, and someone had said to her that if she got it done she would get free entry for life. She couldn’t remember what the bet was.
“We called up Alpine to check it was the right logo, and that she’d get in – they were aware she was getting it.
“And apparently she did get in – and they let her jump the queue.
“She was very happy about getting it, and happy with how it looked. Usually if tattoos are too weird, we just say no.
“It was a unique request – but each to their own, at the end of the day. And she can always get it covered or removed if she wants.”
The student’s tattoo, left, was done in the style of the nightclub Alpine’s entry stamp - seen above on a clubgoer’s hand
