Bike skills on of­fer to chil­dren

DO you have chil­dren aged be­tween five and 12 who want to dis­cover new skills on two wheels?

Then sign them up for the free Bike­abil­ity Level One course at Coro­na­tion Park in Orm­skirk this Satur­day, Septem­ber 30 be­tween 10am and mid­day.

Whether your chil­dren are learn­ing to ride on two wheels for the first time or want­ing to im­prove their bal­ance and abil­ity, then this ses­sion will suit them.

In­struc­tors will help chil­dren learn to con­trol their bike, im­prove ob­ser­va­tion as well as tech­niques to pre­pare them for road cy­cling in the fu­ture.

Coun­cil­lor Yvonne Ga­gen, West Lan­cashire bor­ough coun­cil’s port­fo­lio holder for leisure, said: “Bike­abil­ity is a great way for chil­dren to learn new skills on their bikes.

“So if you have chil­dren aged be­tween five and 12 make sure you book a place for them on this course.”

The Bike­abil­ity course has been or­gan­ised by West Lan­cashire bor­ough coun­cil’s parks and coun­try­side ser­vice.
