Awards mark outstanding successes

-

EDGE Hill University celebrated the achievements of students and alumni who have developed their ability to stand out from the crowd in their chosen careers at the Careers Awards Evening 2018.

The awards event, organised by the Careers team, also recognised employers and organisations who work in partnership with the University, providing vital opportunities for students to help develop their employability skills and compete successfully for graduate employment.

Jacqui Howe, head of careers, said: “As a university we do pretty well when it comes to winning awards, but I think we feel the proudest when we celebrate together with our students, at graduation and on evenings like this.

‘‘It’s great to see our students grow in self-confidence, develop their skills and move towards their goals and dreams.

“Enhancing student employability is key, and successful engagement with employers is vital to their development. We have received affirmation from employers that we are producing graduates who have the skills and experience they’re looking for.

“Awards like this provide us with the perfect opportunity to say thank you to all the employers and organisations that work with us.”
