WE HAVE had a great response to last week’s announcement that Community Link Foundation is planning its fourth annual golf day.

Many of you were eager to hear about it, having attended in previous years and enjoyed it, and we have also heard from people who haven’t been on it before but were keen to get more information.

The event, held at Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club, is always a firm favourite in the calendar due to the combination of the beautiful surroundings, the hospitality shown to us by staff at the club and the fact that it raises money for Community Link Foundation.

The golf day will be held on Thursday, June 7 at the Championship links course.

It is open to men and women and you can enter as a team of four or individually and you will be paired with other players.

The event will start at noon with coffee and bacon rolls in the clubhouse and is finished off with a prize presentation and three course evening dinner in the clubhouse from 7.30pm.

Community Link Foundation received a letter earlier this week from North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Ser- vice to thank us for the money that was donated to them in December to go towards a Christmas Day lunch for the elderly at Southport fire station.

The letter said: “All of the guests had a wonderful day and left the station having enjoyed good food and good company and with a variety of gifts.”

It is only possible for Community Link Foundation to be able to donate to such good causes as this, thanks to the generosity of all the people who donate to CLF and hold fundraising events on our behalf.

So, thank you to all the supporters of CLF who enable us to make a difference in the community.
