Hay, it’s so great to be back ...
SCARECROWS are popping up once again at the start of the Halsall Scarecrow Festival.
On parade so far are a chef, Elvis Presley, a golfer and some pigs.
Many more are expected over the next week or so, leading up to the Scarecrow Treasure Hunt Weekend on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. The hunt takes participants around the village centre to find the answers to questions all about the scarecrows.
Entry forms, at £3, are available from Halsall Church between 2pm and 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
All entries - completed or not - will be entered into a draw to win some family-based prizes.
Proceeds will go to Halsall Proud & Tidy Group, whose volunteers help to keep the village looking attractive to both residents and visitors.
