ASOUTHPORT business is holding an Oktoberfes­t event which will raise money for Community Link Foundation.

Access Point who are based in the Old Courthouse on Albert Road are hosting the evening of fun on September 28 in their fabulous building.

Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Community Link Foundation to be given out to good causes within the area.

Jennifer Wainwright from Access Point said: “It is £20 per ticket which includes food, a traditiona­l German dish, a live band and entertainm­ent and games organised by the band.

“It really is a fantastic evening and it’s just a totally different kind of event.”

Fancy dress is optional for those brave enough to wear lederhosen or a dirndl!

Jennifer added: “We were so impressed with the work that Community Link Foundation does, we felt that it was only right that the proceeds should go to them to put to good use in the community.”

Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation, said: “We are very grateful to Access Point for donating the proceeds from this event to CLF.

“It sounds like it’s going to be a great event in a fantastic venue. “The building has such history that it will be great that members of the public can go in there and see what Access Point have done, while enjoying a brilliant Bavarian-themed night!”

There are 160 tickets available for the event and there will also be a raffle on the night.
