Community group remembers
A West Lancashire community group is holding a Remembrance Day show today to mark 100 years since the end of WWI.
Learning Stars is a group of people with learning disabilities, which meets weekly at venues in Skelmersdale, Ormskirk and Southport.
They work in partnership with the Workers’ Education Association and offer activities in the areas of art, gardening, singing/ choir, being creative with words and dance.
The themes for all workshops during 2017-18 has been remembering WWI.
There will be a Remembrance Day show from 1.30pm on November 8 at Chapel Gallery, St Helens Road, Ormskirk, to showcase the workshops using the theme of the WW1 centenary.
