Darts players rally round to help Billy
Paisley and District Darts aces got into the giving spirit to help one of their own at a special benefit night.
Players from across Paisley and Barrhead descended on the Arthurlie Inns to play a benefit competition for the club’s Billy Stevenson, who is currently going through cancer treatment.
The night saw 22 players from the Paisley and Renfrew leagues take part in a singles tournament and, after some fine displays on the night, the eventual winner was John McCallum from Renfrew who beat June McCallum in the final, who just happens to be his mother.
All the players got in on the action as they rallied round for Stevenson.
He was there to hand out the trophies at the end of the night following a fantastic evening for players and spectators alike.
This week the league play the final games in Division One to decide all of the league placings.
And the teams play their last tournaments of the year the following week, with every team fielding two players in the Champion of Champions night, as well as playing the Ladies Singles championship.
