McDonald’s love triangle ends up in court after jilted ex threatens co-worker
A jilted lover lost his job after threatening his ex-girlfriend’s new man in a McDonald’s love triangle.
Michael Quay saw red when he discovered his long-term partner was seeing another fast food colleague behind his back.
And the raging 24-year-old confronted the pair outside the McDonald’s branch where the trio worked in a row which led to his dismissal by the burger giant.
Quay admitted shouting threats at Lewis McGowan as he left work with Iona Ramsay during two separate outbursts.
Paisley Sheriff Court heard this week how the trio became involved in a love tussle which left Quay in the dock.
He admitted acting in a threatening and abusive manner likely to cause fear and alarm on May 23 and June 1 last year.
Fiscal depute Maureen McGovern told the court that Mr McGowan and Miss Ramsay were confronted as they left work.
She said: “The accused and the young lady ( Iona Ramsay) had been in a relationship or four or five years, which she describes as on-off.
“They split up at the beginning of May 2016, having previously worked together in McDonald’s in Renfrew Road in Paisley, as did
