Top flight ref­eree Craig Thom­son will be back in the mid­dle this week­end when St Mir­ren take on Dun­fermline.

Thom­son has al­ready drawn the ire of the St Mir­ren sup­port this sea­son hav­ing sent boss Jack Ross to the stand in the side’s Cham­pi­onship win over Liv­ingston last month.

Ross was ham­mered as a re­sult and was forced to sit in the stands for the IrnBru Cup clash with Hearts Colts af­ter be­ing handed a one-match touch­line ban fol­low­ing his ar­gu­ment with Thom­son.

The Bud­dies head to East End Park hop­ing to get one over their fel­low pro­mo­tion chasers, with The Pars still reel­ing from their shock de­feat to Morton last week­end.
