Duo are a credit to academy

Paisley Daily Express - - A Newlandscape -

Jack Ross insists the club’s Youth Academy deserves enormous credit following the recent call-ups of Ben Cameron and Ethan Erhahon to the international scene.

The pair were again selected for their respective age groups this week, while Erhahon also made his top team debut against Raith Rovers at the weekend.

And Ross believes it can only be a good thing for the club.

He said:“It is good recognition for the academy and those who work within it when players are recognised at that level.

“I know the amount of work they put into it and it is a credit to the club when you see the youngsters that are coming through.”

And Ross revealed he was delighted with Erhahon’s performance for the first team at the weekend.

He added:“He is still very young and he still has a lot of areas that we feel he can improve upon.

“He has an awful lot of things to develop, but he is a very young man.

“His progress with Scotland has been brilliant. He has always done very well when he goes away with the international group.”
