Driver to face trial
A van dri v e r d rove dangerously with a dodgy fuel tank and flat tyre, it is claimed.
John Cruickshank, 32, is accused of getting behind the wheel of a motor which had a string of defects.
He denied the charge when the case called at Paisley Sheriff Court this week.
Cruickshank is alleged to have driven with a broken bracket, leaving the fuel tank unsecure, and a windscreen covered in mist on Paisley’s Burnbrae Drive on January 28.
Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill called for an intermediate diet on December 21 to confirm both sides are ready to proceed.
Cruickshank, of the town’s Spey Avenue, has been ordered to return for trial on January 18.
