Scotland’s cent re of procurement expertise for local government has reached the final of a national award scheme.

Scotland Excel, based in Cotton Street, Paisley, has welcomed news that it has four entries shortlisted in the prestigious Scottish GO Awards.

The orga n i s at i o n ’ s domestic furniture and furnishings (DFF) framework has been shortlisted for the award’s ‘ Sustainability’ category and its construction team is a finalist in ‘Team of the Year’.

The organisation’s work on indexation and its portfolio of food contracts have both been shortlisted in the ‘Innovation’ category.

Councillor John Shaw, convener of Scotland Excel, said: “Being shortlisted for the Scottish GO awards speak volumes for the collaborative work we do to deliver efficient and innovative frameworks for Scotland’s councils and also for the value we bring to the public procurement landscape.

“We lead the way in many areas of public procurement, with innovation and sustainability rooted in everything we do.

“So we are absolutely delighted to have four entries shortlisted and we wish all other finalists the very best of luck.”
