UCAS deadline warning
A Renfrewshire MSP has urged students to make sure they don’t miss out on the January deadline for university applications.
Applications for the majority of courses starting next summer should arrive at UCAS by Monday, January 15 at 6pm.
MSP Derek Mackay, SNP MSP for Renfrewshire North and West, has called on prospective students not to miss out.
He said:“Although the deadline may seem a bit away, it would be very easy to get caught up in the upheaval that Christmas brings and forget about your application. It would be unfortunate for anyone to miss out on their number one choice, not to mention wasting years of hard work, because they rushed their application or, worse, missed the deadline.
“I urge any student planning on applying to attend university next summer to ensure they get working on their application soon and submit it in good time.”
