Stanley Athletic fell to defeat at the hands of Arden on Saturday as they dropped points in the league.

The Paisley side struggled to get going in the opening period but managed to win themselves a penalty from their first piece of play.

Neil Morrison stepped up and crashed the spot-kick off the bar as Stanley spurned their glorious opportunity.

That came back to bite them, with Arden scoring on the stroke of half-time to go ahead.

Ho w e v e r, St a n l e y regrouped immediately and somehow still had time to level the scores before the break, with Mark Taylor rounding off a well-worked move.

In the second half, Athletic had a couple of opportunities, but it was Arden scoring again with a fine individual effort that saw one of their players waltz through the defence.

A third goal followed to seal the points, with Stanley having to settle for defeat.
