Velo riders wrap up warm as they head for the hills
It was just another winter weekend for Paisley Velo as the cold weather continues to greet the cyclists.
Velo had two groups taking to their mountain bikes and they headed off-road up to the Gleniffer Braes and the Kilpatrick Hills, with a couple of riders exploring the roads for some extra speed.
On Sunday, after two weekends of ice, the club runs resurfaced on a beautiful winter’s day.
The Wee Ring took on a short tour of Renfrewshire, before settling for some grub at Bernie’s, in Bridge Of Weir, and heading home from there.
Meanwhile, the Middle Ring group headed to Balloch and Helensburgh, where they had a stop at Humbles, in Helensburgh, before heading back to Paisley, clocking up 50 miles in the process.
Another group headed up the Kilpatrick Hills to try new routes for when the roads are icy and going off-road is the better option.
