Smiles as 2,000 people attend fair
Volunteers raise fantastic £13,000 for hospice
Thousands of pounds was raised for one of Paisley’s favourite charities at its Christmas fair.
Accord Hospice held the annual event at Paisley Town Hall, and it saw hundreds of people go over the door to support the organisation and pick up a festive bargain or two.
There was something for everyone at the dozens of stalls that sold everything from crafts to delicious home baking.
Ken Mathie, head of income generation at Accord, said: “We had a wonderful day, with just over £13,000 being raised at our fair.
“We are absolutely delighted and would like to thank everyone who took the trouble to come along and support us.
“We probably had 2,000 people through the front door.”
The money raised at the event will go towards Accord’s work at its Hawkhead Road base and in people’s own homes.
It looks after seriously ill people of all ages, and also carries out work to help families cope.
