Cops probe ‘murder bid’ after man suffers bleed on the brain
Murder squad detectives are investigating an alleged attack after a Paisley man was left seriously ill in hospital.
Officers were called out to the town’s Grampian Avenue, where they discovered a 39-year-old man who had suffered a severe head injury.
It’s understood he was taken to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital before being transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.
Doctors discovered a bleed on his brain and the man, who has not been identified by cops, underwent emergency surgery, after the ordeal around 8.40pm on Tuesday.
His condition was last night described as serious but stable.
A Police Scotland spokesman last night said detectives were treating the incident as attempted murder.
A 40-year-old man is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court in connection with attempted murder charges today.
Investigation Police cordoned off the scene
