Race night is first of many events

Bow­field Ho­tel & Coun­try Club in How­wood is hold­ing a race night to raise funds for the CHAS char­ity.

It kicks off a se­ries of char­ity events that will be held this year by the Manorview Group, which runs the Bow­field, to raise cash for CHAS and the When You Wish Upon a Star Scot­land char­ity.

The group’s man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Steve Gra­ham and head of pro­cure­ment Steve Buck­ley are also run­ning the Lon­don Marathon on April 22.

They are aiming to raise a to­tal of £6,000, which will be split be­tween the two char­i­ties.

Fraser Make­ham, ho­tel di­rec­tor of the Bow­field, said: “CHAS is an amaz­ing char­ity that does great work sup­port­ing many fam­i­lies through­out the whole of Scot­land, at a time when they need it most.

“We’re hop­ing as many peo­ple as pos­si­ble will come out to help us raise as much as we can for a worth­while cause.

“It will be an en­ter­tain­ing evening, with lots of qual­ity prizes to be won”.

Tick­ets for the race night in­clude a light buf­fet. There will also be a raf­fle and some great prizes to be won.

This will be held on Fri­day, March 2, and tick­ets cost £10 per per­son, with all pro­ceeds go­ing to Chil­dren’s Hospices Across Scot­land.
