Pupils in fine voice
Renfrewshire school pupils took part in a new and exciting singing performance.
They were launching national project Singing to Learn, Learning to Sing.
The performance took place in the Royal Concert Hall in partnership with Glasgow UNESCO City of Music and was led by Christopher Bell, artist director of the National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS).
Pupils from Inchinnan Primary and St David’s Prima r y , Johnstone, performed four songs.
The project has been developed by the Music Education Partnership Group, and is a collection of arts and education organisations.
Gayle Gorman, Education Scotland chief executive, said: “I’m delighted that the Music Education Partnership Group have launched the new national framework which offers increased opportunities for children to experience music every day in the classroom.
“As we celebrate the Year of Young People, I’m delighted that such a large number of pupils had the opportunity to take part in the singing lesson.
Well done to those who took part.”
