Couple deny drug dealing
A Johnstone couple are facing trial accused of dealing drugs from their home in the town.
Alistair Harvie and Debra Brown are said to have dealt Amphetamine, a class B drug more commonly known as speed, from their Rankine Street house.
Prosecutors claim they were in possession of the drug “with intent to supply it to another or others.”
Harvie, 41, and Brown, 35, are also said to have been in possession of two other drugs - cannabis and etizolam, a former legal high which is often sold as valium.
It’s claimed they had the banned substances at their home on August 24 last year.
Neither Harvie nor Brown were present when the case against them called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court this week.
Not guilty pleas were entered on their behalf and Sheriff Moira MacKenzie adjourned the case until November for a pre-trial hearing to take place.
A trial has been set for December.
