Nicholl is still set to come on board
Northern Ireland assistant manager Jimmy Nicholl remains set to come on board with St Mirren despite having failed to put pen to paper.
A fortnight has passed since the 61-year-old was first linked with a coaching position with the Paisley outfit.
Boss Oran Kearney confirmed that he still plans to add the experienced coach, formerly of Raith Rovers and Hibs, to his backroom team that already consists of Brian Rice, Allan McManus and Andy Webster.
Kearney said:“There has not been a huge rush to get him in. We had three games in a week last week.
“If something is to happen then it will happen after the international break.
“It has not been something that has been a priority to sort because of the time frame we have.
“I was chatting to him on Wednesday and we are still in contact and looking to get a deal done.”
