As you read this, the April Fool’s Jam will be over. Head tosjam to find a selection of games designed to fool you.

From the creators of ThisWarofMine,

Frostpunk is a city builder that’s as much about society as infrastructure. Set in a deadly, frozen world, you will be forced to make tough decisions as you attempt to keep your city running and your people alive. How much are you prepared to sacrifice in the name of survival?

Watch as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds vies for the Multiplayer award, or as Gorogoa tries to wrestle a Game Innovation trophy away from BreathoftheWild. There’s a strong list of nominees this year, so tune in and cheer on your favourite developer.

Total War Saga: Thro nes of Britannia

It’s the first new historical TotalWar in over three years, and the first TotalWar Saga ever. In Thrones of Britannia you battle for control of the British Isles, as AngloSaxons, Vikings and Gaelic clans clash for the throne. Expect a narrower, but more detailed scope than a traditional TotalWar.

Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire

Originally due April, Pillars of Eternity I I drifted slightly off course, and is now set to wash up this May. Why the nautical puns? Because the game is set in the Deadfire Archipelago – letting you captain a ship in order to travel between islands, hunting down a big blue god.

Get your hands on issue 318 of PC Gamer, which will feature brand new info on Lara Croft’s next globetrotting adventure, Shadow oftheTombRaider.

The younger, smaller sibling of Eurogamer’s EGX show takes place in Tobacco Dock, London. Rezzed has more of an indie focus than EGX, which means games like Ooblets and Chucklefish’s Wargroove will be playable on the show floor. Check out The Leftfield Collection for a selection of weird and wonderful things.

DreamHack Mast ers Mars eill e

16 of the best Counter-Strike teams compete against one another for $250,000 in prize money.

Gwent Challenger #3 is the ideal place to hop on board the game’s growing professional scene. The format, in which players must win with three preprepared decks each round, lends itself to experimentation, making for an exciting competition. Plus, the whole thing will be set in Wieliczka Salt Mine. Very Witcher- y.

Play That Game

As far as we can tell, nothing of note is happening this weekend. So why don’t you finally play that game? You know, the one you were really excited to dive into when it came out, but life just kept sort of getting in the way. Clear your schedule, drag it out from your Steam vault and give it a shot – maybe you’ll love it.
