FUEL TANK

Performance Bikes (UK) - - Project Bike -

“WE MOVED FROM a fuel tank that carried its weight roughly in the standard position to our own design which moves part of the tank lower, below the seat and above the shock. It helps centralise and lower the centre of gravity. That also meant a new subframe of our own design and manufacture – we ran a kit part before. That also had a knock-on benefit of having to move the battery and electronics mounted on the subframe to a position just above the front sprocket. That’s a little more weight centralised, but it also means we don’t have to replace electrical parts if the subframe is damaged in a crash – only the seat and fuel tank attach to the subframe now.”
