I’VE HAD this bike a couple of years and thought it was time for a rebuild. ZXRs are heavy so I decided to put it on a diet, fitting a PVM forged alloy front wheel and a PVM mag rear, both of which are 16.5in.
It has a 2005 ZX-10R front end with 320mm discs on home-made carriers. Other mods include a 520-pitch chain conversion, re-valved ZX-10R rear shock, plus a carbon fairing and seat, which help with the weight saving, along with plenty of titanium.
There’s still plenty of work to do but I love it even as it is. It has a daylight MoT but it’s not the most practical of sportsbikes really – it hasn’t even got a sidestand... The next stage of development involves fitting a ZX-9R engine.
