Questions over bikes using pavements

Dear Editor

-

Re Your article (PA, March 10) on cyclists in Tay Street, I would like to know if PKC has a bye law regarding cyclists on pavements in general or can Police Scotland comment on this matter. As I go on my daily walk round many streets on the outskirts and the City Centre and I am amazed at the number of cyclists who use the pavements and assume they have the right of way over pedestrians.

So can PKC confirm that they have also approved the use of pavements by cyclists.

I think I may start to walk in the cycle lanes on the road as they appear safer than the pavement.

Do any other readers have the same experience?
