School checks
Pupils at a Perth primary school have been taking lessons away from class because of a problem with part of the building.
Our Lady’s Primary School in Letham has put in place alternative arrangements while assessment on the necessary works is carried out.
Neighbouring premises and the school games hall have been used by pupils in recent days because of the closure, according to parents.
A spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council said on Thursday: “To allow an engineer’s assessment of potential repairs which may be required in one part of the building some temporary alternative arrangements have been put in place.
“While the school is open as normal, arrangements have been made to accommodate all pupils in other areas of the school until the outcome of the assessment is known.”
