Strawberry crisps plan

Perthshire company Mackies is to start exporting sweet-flavoured crisps.

Mackies of Taypack Ltd in Errol are to start exporting strawberry and salted caramel flavoured crisps to China.

China is Mackies’ largest export market, with four containers of their crisps being shipped to Shanghai every month.

The unusual flavours will be launched at this week’s SIAL China Trade Show. They will be exclusively shipped to China with no plans to introduce them to the UK market.
