‘Good news’ coming to Methven

Two young Christian preachers will take their innovative portable good news hall to Methven at the weekend to share their message of love, hope and peace in the village.

Graeme Paterson from Plains Gospel Hall, Lanarkshire, has been a regular visitor to Perthshire’s primary schools in recent years and has taken his Faith Factor children’s club around the UK for almost a decade.

Joining him will be Gareth Edwards from Perth Gospel Hall, who left his employment with SSE a year ago to devote all his time to sharing the Christian Gospel throughout Perthshire.

The Good News Hall will be located in Rorrie Terrace and the special activities will kick-off with a community barbecue at 5pm on Saturday, May 27.

During the following fortnight, the Faith Factor children’s club will take place at 4pm each weekday afternoon, and good news talks will be given at 7pm each weekday evening.

Lunch and Learn sessions will also be conducted on both Tuesdays at 1pm.

Gareth Edwards commented: “With so much disaster and disappointment in the world these days, we believe that the Christian Gospel is a message of good news that can genuinely transform lives.

“We’re excited about the fortnight of activities in Methven and guarantee everyone a very warm welcome.”
