Charity challenge call
Perth Show organisers are looking for some charity challengers to take on their fun-filled fundraiser at this year’s event.
The show, which takes place at the city’s South Inch on August 4 and 5, is staging a charity challenge to bring the day’s proceedings to a close on the Friday evening.
Teams of four are being encouraged to come forward from local businesses, organisations, families and communities to help raise funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) and the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET).
Perth Show sponsorship convener Robert Gilchrist explained what competitors would face in the all-comers challenge.
“Working in teams of four, competitors will face both physical and eating challenges as they work their way through the course,” he said. “It will be against the clock so the fastest team will lift the honours.”
The competition will be run in heats and kick off on the Friday at 5.30pm in the main showring.
“This is a great way for people to end their working week and have a bit of fun knowing they are helping two very worthy charities,” added Robert. “It’s also guaranteed to be a great spectator sport so people are very welcome to come and cheer on their favourites.”
Entry to the Perth Show Charity Challenge 2017 is £50 for a team of four with all proceeds going towards SCAA and RHET.
The Show is looking to attract up to 20 teams and anyone interested in entering should contact Robert by email on robert_ gilchrist@live.co.uk
