Perthshire Advertiser - - FRONT PAGE - Ross Gardiner

Outbuildings at a Perth school were broken into and vandalised last weekend.

Three storage containers at North Muirton Primary School’s nursery building were damaged at some point between November 3 and 5, according to a spokesperson for Police Scotland.

On Monday when staff returned to work, they found that outdoor toys strewn across the playground and the containers they had been stored in broken.

Police Scotland local area commander, Chief Inspector Ian Scott, said: “Parents are requested to ensure that their children are respectful of others property to prevent further incidents of vandalism occurring.”

It is thought the potential culprits could be local youngsters entering the Uist Place premises at the weekends

Anyone with any information which can help inquiries should contact Tayside Division on 101 or any police officer.
