First-class postal figures
Royal Mail is said to be achieving above its targets for next day delivery in Perthshire.
The postal service has exceeded its regulatory first class mail target of 93 per cent for the first half of the 2017/18 financial year in the PH postcode area which covers Perth and Kinross, Lochaber and areas of the southern Highlands.
The results, which revealed Royal Mail is delivering 93.6 per cent of first class mail the next working day, were published last week.
Nationally, first-class mail was narrowly behind its regulatory target over the six months leading up to 24 September 2017. A total of 92.9 per cent of mail arrived the next working day.
Perthshire also exceeded the second class mail target of 98.5 per cent, delivering 98.8 per cent of this mail within three working days.
