Little girls’ big hearts
A group of big-hearted youngsters from Perthshire did their bit to raise money for a good cause over the summer.
Eight-year-old Grace Conisbee from Pitlochry teamed up with her sister Ruby and a group of their friends to put on a sale in their driveway.
The aim was to raise money for the SSPCA, and the enterprising group certainly managed that, finishing with a total of £183.25.
Grace said:“I made cakes and we all made cards, picked herbs, I made scones, we picked apples from our friend Jenna’s tree, made Hama-bead car air fresheners and coasters to put on the table outside.
“We thought people that were going up Ben y Vrackie would come to our sale because we live near the mountain. We got a few customers the first day and got more and more everyday.
“One lady even phoned our house and ordered some of my cakes, which I was amazed about.
“We all put so much effort into it and I am glad about the successful finish.
