Speeding Cyclist’s SICK RANT

Bad-ass biker left poor little Lucie battered and bruised...

All mums know how hectic the school run can be. Bundling your kids out the door on time is no mean feat. For us, organisation was crucial! My partner of 10 years, Matthew Wilding, 26, and I had three gorgeous girls. Our eldest, Katie, 6, Lucie, 3, and Ellie, 7 months. They definitely kept us on our toes. And one day, in May last year, we’d everything planned. I was picking Katie up from school, while Matthew took Lucie and Ellie to wash his car.

‘I’ll just pop Lucie in your car,’ I told Matthew.

Opening the front door, I walked down the path and through our gate. Little Lucie toddled behind me. Suddenly, from nowhere… Whack! I whipped around at the noise. Lucie! A cyclist had crashed into her, sending her flying through the air.

Everything happened in slow motion.

I watched in horror as little Lucie was then caught up in the pedals, dragged face down along the street. ‘Lucie!’ Matthew screamed. He’d been locking the front door, carrying Ellie in her carrycot, when it all happened.

The impact caused the cyclist to fall off his bike, too.

But not before he’d dragged my little girl 12ft.

Stunned, poor Lucie was silent for a moment before bursting into hysterical screams.

There was blood all over the pavement.

The speeding cyclist had come from nowhere

It breaks my heart to see Lucie so terrified
