‘Red is the colour of love and romance, but it also demonstrates confidence, and is a great colour to wear if you want to stand out from the crowd,’ Ali says. ‘It is the most visually noticeable colour – think post boxes and fire engines. It also creates energy, excitement and passion, so it can make people feel inspired and motivated.’ Ali insists that a ‘primary’ red suits everybody, so it’s a safe option. ‘If it feels too bold to wear top to toe, try a red nail varnish or accessories.’ Be careful when using red at home. It can be overwhelming, so use it as an accent colour to add grown up sophistication.
