Reasons why you love Autumn

Pick Me Up! Special - - Health & Happiness -

I love to walk through all the brightly coloured trees. The scrunchy noise they make as you trundle through them always gives me a warm feeling. Janine, Stoke-on-trent I’ve always associated autumn with the start of X-factor and Strictly Come Dancing – my two favourites! As evenings get darker, they are great shows to snuggle up on the sofa to watch. Marie, Northampton Autumn is a great excuse to start drinking those full-fat hot chocolates and spiced lattés – it will be a long time until you need to be bikini ready again so you may as well indulge a little! Rachel, Manchester I love autumn as it means digging out those oversized jumpers and woolly scarves and hats. Autumn fashion is my favourite – tights and boots, warms coats… it’s time to go shopping! Seren, Cardiff Autumn is the time to enjoy some delicious comfort food like hearty stews, hot soups, and warm apple pies. The house starts to smell of cinnamon and everything is just warm and lovely. Jade, Plymouth I always look forward to Halloween when autumn rolls around. It’s so fun getting the kids’ costumes together and of course eating all the left-over sweets from their night of trick or treating! Gemma, Huddersfield

That extra hour in bed when the clocks go back is what makes autumn worth it for me! Nadine, Livingston

Autumn is the season of pumpkins! It’s the perfect time to indulge in soup, pies, hot drinks, and anything else you can make out of a pumpkin. Irene, West Midlands
