Pick Me Up! - - PROMOTION -

‘Some drivers don’t care about children approaching schools.

They’re too interested in getting a parking space as close to the gates as possible. My children and I have nearly been hit by these drivers. I think the roads surrounding schools should be closed off for 20 minutes before and after school to keep kids safer.’ Karen Robinson, Glasgow

‘The number of children being driven to school has increased since parents were able to select schools, rather than being given the closest one. Many more cars are now outside schools, increasing the danger. Some parents seem to have little regard for the parking laws, which makes crossing roads extremely dangerous. It’s so selfish.’ Vivien Mclaren, Cheshire

‘People parking on double yellows and right on street corners is dangerous. Thankfully, my daughter’s school has a parking warden now, which really helps. Unfortunately, I have to pick up my daughter in the car as she is hyper mobile and in pain with her legs by the end of the day, but I get there early so I can park in an appropriate place.’ Diana Stacey Hill, Southsea
