Airbus H125s to be made in Romania; Bell 407GT goes poacher hunting
Airbus Helicopters’ H175 is now operational in five countries following deliveries to operators in Denmark and Mexico, joining those flying in the Netherlands, Scotland and Ghana. Danish operations began in August with the Belgium-based NHV Group, which is using the H175 for oil and gas transport missions for Maersk Oil out of Esbjerg in the North Sea.
Meanwhile, the first H175 on the American continent has been delivered to Mexican operator Transportes Aéreos Pegaso (TAP), which provides air transport services for the energy industry in the Gulf of Mexico. A second H175 will be delivered to TAP in 2017. The company has a fleet of more than thirty Airbus helicopters, and has signed an agreement for ten H145s, for which it will be among the first Latin American operators. Customers worldwide have ordered more than 100 H175s. The first VIP version was delivered recently, while the public services SAR, EMS and law enforcement versions will reach the market in late 2017.
