Memories of Unst
The confirmation in the Spring edition of Pilot that Unst Airport has now closed brought back fond memories of a trip I made into that airport.
The article mentioned the flying contracted to Chevron, and it was actually Brymon Airways that operated the Dash 7. I was fortunate enough to be granted supernumerary crew status on a return trip from Aberdeen to Unst, where the runway was a mere 640m long.
