How air-brained is he?

Pilot - - NOTES -

Long time Pilot contributor and quizmaster-inchief James Allan has celebrated his 90th birthday by getting airborne in yet another type, bringing his total flown to 68. His birthday also coincided with the anniversary of his first solo at Perth in 1945 when he was a member of the Glasgow University Air Squadron. To mark the occasion Dai Heather-hayes and Scottish Aero Club President Mike Ashmole awarded James with a lifetime membership certificate, then Mike and James once again got acquainted with the skies above Perth in Mike’s Maule MT-7. The Scottish Aero Club is just one year older than James.
