A man was injured after a gas explosion blew the roof off a boat near Lisbellaw, County Fermanagh. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) was alerted to reports of the incident at Johnston Shore, Inishmore Road on 19 July. The explosion occurred inside the privately-owned pleasure craft boat, and blew its roof into the water. One man on board managed to escape and went to hospital himself to be treated for his injuries. The boat became submerged in the water. The incident also involved the RNLI, coastguard helicopter, police and ambulance service.
