The Southampton Boat Show will celebrate its 50th anniversary in September, with organisers British Marine pledging to do more to protect the world’s oceans.
Apart from water bottles and cups, no single use plastics will be available at any of the food concessions or bars, all fish served on site will be sustainable and waste will be recycled wherever possible.
Among the boatbuilders exhibiting will be Sunseeker, which for the first time plans to displays its full line of luxury motor yachts on the water at the show’s marina. The firm’s Predator 50 will be receiving its UK debut. Practical Boat Owner has partnered with British Marine to give readers cheaper tickets for the show, which runs from 14-23 September.
