NEW FLOATING MARINA PLANNED FOR SWANWICK ON THE HAMBLE

Practical Boat Owner - - News -

A 333-berth floating marina and bridgehead building have been announced as part of £8 million regeneration plans for Premier Marinas’ Swanwick site.

The development will result in 59 extra berths for 6m-40m boats, with all pontoons running east to west. Premier said this will allow customers to have a berth measuring at least the length of their boat, and will make berthing safer and easier. All of the pontoons will be accessed via a single central bridgehead, which will have a new building housing customer services and other facilities. A new pavilion building for boat sales and marina businesses is also planned, subject to planning permission. The work will be carried out in two phases, beginning in October 2018.

Work will start on the Swanwick scheme in October
