Practical Boat Owner - - New Gear -

Stand: Harken, J219

This new range of blocks has been engineered for the cruising market, with the aim of creating a cost-effective, strong and reliable product.

The sheaves run on plain bearings and are of fibre-reinforced nylon, while the side cheeks are made from hard anodised aluminium. Attachment is via a traditional stainless steel spindle and shackle.

The series is available in 45mm, 60mm and 80mm sizes and will accept lines from 8-16mm diameter. Single, double and triple blocks are included, with options including fiddles and cam cleats.

The company will also have its latest lightweight, yet strong, Fly Blocks that are designed for use with high-tech lines at the show, along with the new Reflex 3 top-down furler for asymmetric and code sails on larger boats. Prices: from £39.31 harken.co.uk
