8 Hoburne Blue Anchor

Practical Caravan - - Travel County Counsel -

Situated on the coast between Minehead and Watchet, this site is nestled between the Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park, so you’ve plenty of opportunities to explore the great outdoors. However, if you’re more inclined to stay on site, you’ve still plenty to choose from in terms of things to do. There’s a peaceful, relaxing nature trail on-site, or an outdoor adventure playground for those with a bit more energy to release. There’s also an indoor swimming pool, crazy golf and a beachside café where you can sit back and just unwind. Further food options come from the two local pubs, The Smuggler’s Inn and The Blue Anchor, plus the Driftwood Café by the train station. The West Somerset Railway runs right past the site, so keep an eye out for bygone-era steam trains, or hop on at Blue Anchor station to experience the longest heritage railway in England. All touring pitches have 10A electric hook-up, awning space, hardstandings and unlimited use of the park’s facilities. There are also well-maintained toilets, showers and washing facilities. If you forget to pack anything, the site’s convenience store could come in handy – the nearest supermarkets are some miles away, in Minehead and Watchet.
