By the time you read this, Visit Britain’s new quality mark (similar to the Kitemark) should be on display at hospitality businesses all over the country.
The idea is for the mark to give the public confidence that businesses are complying with guidelines to be Covid-19 secure. The public will be asked to do its bit by following the rules that make using those businesses safe. The mark will appear on TV travel advertisements, websites, window stickers and brochures. Those who sign up to the scheme will be subject to compliance checks, but the onus is on us to choose businesses displaying the mark. The slogan is ‘Know before you go!’
