The majority of people selling classics are lovely, honest, genuine types so visit with this in mind. It’s not a combative situation or a deep psychologi­cal test but if it feels like it’s going that way, say ta ta. Be methodical, drink tea, have a laugh, and build a rapport. If the car’s ‘the one’, ask to have first refusal, then sleep on it.
