TORNADO… AT LONG LAST
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Memory Lane in the March edition of PC included the announcement of the Tornado Tempest as a notable new motor for 1960. My own Tornado Tempest has been continually roadworthy and MOT‘D for the past 30 years. As with all Tornados this is a car for those who do not mind attracting attention when out and about. Sadly, only four Tempests of the 11 made are thought to survive worldwide. These days the products of the Tornado Car Company, Rickmansworth, Herts are little known to all but the most avid classic enthusiasts, however as with most makes we have our own dedicated following.
